CCN Project Report

The document describes a network design for an airport with four departments: Airport Traffic Control, Management, Guest, and Airport departments. Each department has its own functionality and IP address range. The design uses Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing protocols to enable communication between the departments. It provides an overview of the components and IP ranges for each department.

Introduction of the Project:

we have made a simple airport network design which provide a secure

communication between different types of department in a airport. Each
department have its own functionality as well as each department has its own
business. The airport has four different department which provide different ip
address for communication between each department.

The main components are RIP and OSPF and others are below:

Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is a dynamic routing protocol which uses hop

count as a routing metric.

Rip is also used To find the best path between the source and the destination
network.

Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a routing protocol for the Internet Protocol (IP)

networks. It uses a link state routing (LSR) algorithm and falls into the group
of interior gateway protocols (IGPs), operating within a single autonomous
system (AS).

 Airport Traffic Control department.

 Management department.

 Airport department.

 Guest department.

 Airport Traffic control department:

The airport traffic control department have the all information and data about the
income flights and outgoing flights. Due to this they can manage their work easily
and no clash between the flights.

The airport control department has:(network ip 192.168.3.0)

 Airport traffic control router.

 Airport traffic switch.

 Dns server for data storing.

 ASA server for data security.

The design of Airport Traffic control department:

 Management department:(network ip 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.2.0)

The management department is made for the manager the things of a airport. Like
customer information, tickets information and data of booking ,reservation of
tickets. The data on which flights will take off or landing through the airport.

The Management department have:

 Management department router

 Department switch.

 Dns server for data storing

 Pc,s

The Design of management department:

 Guest department:(network ip 192.168.4.0)

The guest department is for peoples and travels those who taking and waiting for the
flights .

The design of guest department:

 Airport department:(network ip 192.168.5.0)

The airport department is store the over all data of airport network.

The design of airport department:
