I. Call to Order
- The 1st Sangguniang Kabataan Tingub Inaugural Session of 2020 was called to order at 8:17PM
on January 25, 2020 (Sunday) at the Sangguniang Kabataan Tingub Office.
II. Agenda
1. Approval of the draft Sangguniang Kabataan CBYDP, ABYIP and SK Annual Budget 2020 -Hon. Jennifer S. Paradiang presented the draft plans to the Sangguniang Kabataan Members and ask for
opinions and suggestions for the presented draft. Hon. Jeffrey Huerte asked for the total amount of
annual budget for the year 2020 and it was presented by Ms. Eirnlyn May Dancel the Sangguniang
Kabataan Treasurer the 10% Sk fund amounting Nine Hundred Thirty Five Thousand Four Hundred
Twenty Three Pesos and Thirty Two Centavos (P935,423.32). In the conduct of discussion, the
presiding officer ask the members on what activities, programs and projects that the Sangguniang
Kabataan should prioritize for this year and Hon. Mervin Ceniza suggested to include in the
prioritization is the Sports Development Program. Hon. Jennifer Paradiang cited that it is already
included on the prioritize plan for last year the SK wasn’t able to conduct a Basketball Tournament. The
members agree and Hon. Jennifer S. Paradiang to present the draft again on the next regular session to
finalize the presented draft. En masse, the SK members approved the decision and will continue to
discuss the matter on the next session.
2. Update of the Sangguniang Kabataan Officials Educational Assistance
-Hon. Jennifer S. Paradiang informed the members that the only person who is able to comply
requirements for the financial assistance is Hon. Kathy Yongco and for Hon. Cherie Lou Capul & Hon.
Jeffrey Huerte are void due to lack of requirements. Hon. Jeffrey Huerte reiterated that he was able to
submit the requirements completely and was dismayed about the news. He also cited if the presiding
officer will try to ask for a remedy since they took time and exerted effort upon complying the lacking
requirements. Hon. Paradiang informed that she will try to consult it on the SK Federation Session
for the next month about this matter.
3. Update of the Sangguniang Kabataan Officials Financial Assistance
-The presiding officer informed the members about the update of the Sangguniang Kabataan Educational
Assistance and ask for Hon. Jeffrey Huerte to discuss the previous meeting he attended in the SK
Federation in behalf of Hon. Jennifer Paradiang. Hon. Huerte informed that the counting for the
educational assistance attendance will be effective this January, therefore attendance for the regular
session for the month of January should be attended for it is equivalent for a P2,000.00 educational
assistance from the City of Mandaue. He also reiterated that Certificate of Attendance will be submitted
to the SK Federation office and the assistance will be released every quarterly. Hon. Paradiang decided
that Ms. Eirnlyn May Dancel will be the one who is in charge of processing the transaction for the assistance.
4. Update of the Sangguniang Kabataan Opening of Bank Account
-Hon. Paradiang informed the members that they are still complying for the requirements and is waiting
for the approval of the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Plan 2020 to disburse the amount needed for
the Fidelity Bond.
5. Sangguniang Kabataan Duty Detail
-Hon. Paradiang informed the members that there will be a surprise visit from the DILG Department
anytime this year to check the attendance of the Barangay Officials and SK Officials. She also sighted
that members should find time to visit the office and log in for documentary purposes.
6. Panagtagbo Sa Mandaue
-Hon. Paradiang discussed to the members about the upcoming Panagtagbo sa Mandaue and we should appropriate a budget for this in the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Plan 2020 for preparation. The members approved and Hon. Paradiang informed that details will be announced soon.
