Globalization and Terrorism Msword

Globalization refers to the increasing integration and interaction of people, companies, and governments around the world through international trade and information technology. While globalization has economic benefits, it also allows international criminals and terrorist organizations to more easily facilitate transnational crimes and expand their networks. Law enforcement has struggled to keep up with globalization and needs to enhance international cooperation, update legislation and training, and develop new strategies to deal with global threats like cybercrime and organized crime. Terrorism uses violence and fear, often for religious or political ends, by targeting civilians, though definitions vary and individual motivations are often social rather than strategic.

TERRORISM
Terrorism, defined;
The use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce esp. for political
purposes.
The state of fear and submission produce by terrorism or terrorization.
A terroristic method of governing or of resisting government.
Terrorism is the systematic us of terror especially as a means
of coercion. At present, the international community has been unable to
formulate a universally agreed, legally binding, criminal law definition of
terrorism. Common definitions of terrorism refers only to those violent acts
which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for religious,
political or ideology goal, and deliberately target or disregard the safety of
non-combatants (civilian).
Some definitions also include acts of unlawful violence and
war. The histories of terrorist organization suggest that they do not select
terrorism for its political effectiveness. Individual terrorists tend to be
motivated more by a desire for social solidarity with other members of their
organization than by political platforms or strategic objectives, which are
often murky and undefined.
