3. Try to study at the same time each day. Studying at the same time each
day establishes a routine that becomes a regular part of your life, just like
sleeping and eating. When a scheduled study time comes up during the
day, you will be mentally prepared to begin studying.
6. Sit down for 45 minute intervals. When you feel you cannot
concentrate any more take a short break of 10 – 15 minutes. During the
break you can have some snacks and even go for a walk. This relaxes your
mind.
7. Reward yourself if you have met your goal. If you plan to study one unit
in a sitting and succeed, then you may reward yourself by doing something
that makes you happy. Food, exercise, videogames, etc can be a few good
examples.
8. Finally, review what you have studied just before you go to bed.
Usually a textbook in our system has SAQ’s (self assessment questions) at
the end section or unit. With the help of these SAQ’s review what you have
studied just before you go to bed each day. You will find that you
remember the words very strongly the next morning.
Firstly I get up early in the morning and say my Fajar prayers. After
that I go out for a walk. Then I take breakfast and go to the place of my
work. I’m a teacher in a private school. It is a tough job with low salary. I’ve
to work there till 2:00 p.m.
Secondly, on reaching home I say prayers, eat meal and take some
rest. In the meanwhile, children from the nearby homes come to me and I
set to teach them tuition. In the evening and on Sundays, I help my mother
in house – hold work.
Lastly, after “Eisha” prayer I feel too tried to work anymore. But I
have to study my course books. I’m trying to improve my qualification. I
intend to reach new horizons of a bright future, and you know it’s not
possible without hard work.
Finally at about 11 p.m. a deep slumber overcomes me and I go to
sleep.

1. My Childhood Memories
I’ll never forget the time when I lived in a small village very happily. I lived
there with my parents. Among five children I was the youngest. My father
was a small farmer. I got my primary education from the village primary
school. It consisted of two rooms and two teachers. The teachers were
kind and hardworking. As far as I remember, I was a brilliant student.
I will never forget the sweet memories of the simple, village life, we ate
“Parathas” drank “Lassi” and at noon, slept under big, shady trees. Women
picked cotton in the fields. That reminds me of little pranks. We played
innocent games like “hide and seek” and Kolra Shapaki” in the moon-lit
nights. There flew a canal near the village. Its water was cool and clean.
That takes me back to the days when in summers, we used to bathe in the
canal. Those were indeed golden days. Now,I’m grown-up, but I still
remember the sweet, happy days, passed in the village. I do wish that
those days, full of pleasure may come back.
