Application Notes: EIM generally does not control final destination of shipped products and unless otherwise specified by order specification, the following guidelines are used in production as of 12/2007. Non-standard actuator application requirements will follow the job spec sheet or order specifications.
EIM Models Codes beginning with the Numbers or Letters 1/2/A/D/F/H/M/J/K/P/Q & R and Electric Actuator Output up to 51 RPM as well as all Manual Worm Gears and Spur Gear Assemblies will use the Grease Lubricants # 229 Moly Ultra for Standard Temperature Range application and the # 197 Moly Synthetic for Low Temperature application. The small auxiliary spurs on the Worm Gear Assemblies will use # 238.
EIM Models Codes beginning with the Numbers or Letters 1/2/A/D/F/H/M/J/ & K and Electric Actuator Output over 51 RPM will use the Lubricants # 267 Supreme Gear Oil for Standard Temperature Range application and the # 167 Gear Oil for Low Temperature application. [***Note: Current recommendation to use the #167 ISO 680 in all the applications with Temperature Ranges above -40ºC because of variations in actual customer operations and the better characteristics of the ISO 680 grade lubricant is under review for approval. Low Temperatures Applications below -40ºC should still use #167 with 75-140 SAE range.***]
