Haroon's Nightmare: A Short Film

Haroon experiences a nightmare where he sees himself pointing a gun at himself in bed. He wakes up in a sweat realizing it was just a dream. Later, Haroon smokes a blunt which causes him to hallucinate and feel like he's going crazy. While doing a drug deal, Haroon sees a man watching him who later disappears. This leads Haroon to the tunnel where he encounters another version of himself holding a gun. Haroon realizes he doesn't want to shoot himself and puts the gun down, seeing his double has vanished by the end.

Shooting Script – short film

Description of visuals Sound effects

1scene-
Haroon wakes up sees himself at the Sound – gun shot sound
end of bed pointing a gun at him. We
see him look away and hear the sound
of a gun shot

2 scene –
Haroon then wakes up from the Sound- heavy breathing
nightmare in heavy sweat with a durag
on , and heavy breathing , realising it
was just a dream.

3 scene –
Now we see Haroon dunking his face Sound – chosen music should be
into a sink of water. This should be an playing in the background
overhead shot and filmed in slow
motion. 50 frames. He slowly lifts up
head and we see him looking at himself
in the bathroom mirror.

4 scene- Sound- chosen music played in the


Haroon grinds up a blunt , rolls it ready background.
to smoke . brings it slowly to his face. All
filmed in slow motion

5 scene-
He’s a smoking it cuts to a hallucination Sound – music in the background and
of lots of hands sounds of screaming

6th scene-
looks into camera stressed and Sound- music from song
confused banging is head in his had
thinking he’s going crazy.

7th scene-
leaves the house and goes to the tunnel Sound – running
to do a deal.

8th scene-
sees someone in the background Sound – someone shouting oi
watching him doing the deal , shouts at
him then when he gets closer he the
guy disappears.

9th scene-
next scene his haroon in the living room Sound- music from song and screaming
looking walking back and forth thinking
he’s going crazy

10th scene-
he’s in his room and he sees a message Sound – phone bleeping when a
appear on his phone, after reading it he message appears
heads out of his house
(the message insinuates he needs to go
to the tunnel for all the craziness that’s
been going on to be explained)

11th scene-
he goes back to the tunnel where he Sound- eery sound and tension building
runs with the gun in his hand. At the end
of the tunnel we sees the man he saw
earlier following him. As he comes
closer with his gun , the other mans face Sound- gun being put on the ground
comes clear and its himself. Haroon 2
looks away ready to die. Haroon 1
slowly puts the gun down realising he
doesn’t want to shoot. And when he
looks up haroon 2 is gone.

12th scene- Sound – heavy breathing


last scene is haroon 1 looking into
camera breathing heavy and the
camera pans out
