ABS-CBN is a Filipino media and entertainment group based in Quezon City.

ABS CBN
is very popular for being the Philippines' largest entertainment and media conglomerate in terms
of revenue, operating income, net income, assets, equity, market capitalization, and number of
employees. ABS CBN receives a lot of awards and accomplishments but still they violated some
of the articles in the KBP code especially on the Article 1.

Example:

Julius Babao and Jasmin Romero were involved in violating the KBP Code Article one, Section
nine, which states that “The presentation of news and commentaries must not be done in a way
that would create unnecessary panic or alarm.” Julius Babao, a famous broadcaster reported the
news regarding the “flesh-eating” diseases that is slowly spreading in the province of
Pangasinan. The news was aired on February 24, 2014 and based on his delivered report, he
stated; “Isang misteryosong sakit ang unti-unting kumakalat ngayon sa Pangasinan, isang sakit
na tila umano’y kumakain ng balat at laman ng tao.” Which is very alarming and extremely
frightening. The another reporter, Jasmin Romero was shown carrying medical scrubs, mask, and
gloves while interviewing 2 patients from the city of Sta. Barbara and Villasis, Pangasinan.
Bandila’s report was deliberately sensationalized. This news resulted in panic among Netizens
that spread to other people around the country.
