The insulating quid used in capacitive columnsis based an synthetic aromatic hydrocarbons {tupe M/DBT according to IEC 867). This kind of impregnant guarantees very high dielectric performances but is very sensitive to atmospheric moisture, Consequentiy, in order to keep the volume of the liquid adjusted to the temperoture, capacitor voltoge transformers are equipped with a stainless steel bellows, This minimizes exchanges between the impregnant andthe ambientatmosphere. —_ Uocument No UWI =IM-01 ITIS FORBIDDEN TO DRAW SAMPLES FROM THE CAPACITOR UNIT. Following the principle af its functioning, the cell exerts a slight pressure on the column. The pressure denends on the cuantity of liquid exchanged between the column part and the cell part.
