INTRODUCTION : (Dhaniasty)

Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb

We will present here about Agriculture in Indonesia. Lets me introduce my group, my name is...
Okay, now we start. Well, does anyone know what Agriculture is? Certainly related to rice fields.
But what is real Agriculture? This is the definition of agriculture.
Explanation of Agriculture

Agriculture is the utilization of biological resources conducted to produce food, industrial raw materials,
or energy sources, as well to manage the environment. The activity of utilizing biological resources
included in agriculture is commonly understood by people as cultivation of crops or farming, and raising
animals, although the scope can also be the use of microorganisms and bioenzymes in the processing of
advanced products, such as making cheese and tempeh, or merely extracting them, such as fishing or
forest exploitation.

MAIN CONTENT:
There are also several kinds of agriculture. Well, agricultural types will be explained further by
Jefta.
Kind of Agriculture
Wetland agriculture
Wetland agriculture is a type of agriculture that utilizes wetlands. The approved wetlands on this wet farm
on the land contracted by the land are types of soil saturated with air.
Wetland agriculture such as rice fields. You can see, the rice fields have a lot of water. Wetland
agriculture is often carried out in areas that have considerable water reserves. In general, wetlands in
Indonesia experience various pressures towards destruction. Forest conversion, illegal logging, and forest
fires are the main threats to wetland agriculture. Many people depend on wetland agriculture.
Wetland agriculture is agriculture that is cultivated with water or known as rice fields, this agriculture is
mostly done in the lowlands, usually around 300 m above sea level.
Dryland Agriculture
Dryland agriculture is a type of agriculture that is carried out on a dry land, namely land that has a low
water content.
Unlike wetland farming, dryland farming is carried out in areas with not too much water reserves.
Usually, the types of plants on dry land are corn, sweet potatoes, and beans.

Next, about the characteristics of agriculture that will be explained by Putra.

Characteristic of Agriculture
1.. Tropical agriculture
Most regions in Indonesia are near the equator, which means that they are tropical so species of plants,
animals, fisheries and forests are strongly influenced by the tropical climate (tropical agriculture). In
addition, there are other influences that determine the style of our agriculture, namely the shape of the
archipelago and its mountainous topography.
Its location between the continents of Asia and Australia and between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, has
an influence on air temperature, wind direction which results in climate differences in Indonesia, giving
rise to the characteristics of Indonesian agriculture as a complete feature of other agriculture.
2. High and low land agriculture
Indonesia is a volcanic area (has many mountains), so it is possible to have areas that have heights and
lowlands. The highlands have a cold climate, so they can be planted with subtropical climate.
3. Wet climate agriculture (western Indonesia) and dry climate agriculture (eastern Indonesia).
The western part of Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, parts of Sulawesi) has a wet climate: lots of
rain, while other parts of Indonesia, especially eastern Indonesia (NTB, NTT, Maluku), the climate is dry.
4. The existence of tropical forests and grasslands.
Because the climate is wet and in the tropics many tropical forests form rain, while in dry areas
grasslands grow.
5. Land and sea fisheries.
Indonesia is an archipelago consisting of many islands, so the area consists of land and waters. This
situation allows for the presence of land and sea fisheries

Okay, next is about the agricultural system in Indonesia that will be delivered by Rani
Agriculture System in Indonesia
Rice farming system
Rice field system, is a high cultivation technique, especially in tillage and water management, so that high
biological stability is achieved, so that soil fertility can be maintained. This is achieved by a continuous
irrigation system and good drainage. Rice fields are a great potential for food production, both rice and
secondary crops. In some areas, sugar cane and tobacco farming uses a rice field system.
Tegal farming system
The tegal farming system is the most primitive agricultural system. A transition system from the
collecting culture stage to the stage of planter culture. The processing of the soil is very minimum,
productivity depends on the availability of existing topsoil layer, which occurs because of the forest
system. This system is generally found in areas with little population with unlimited land availability.
Plants that are cultivated are generally food crops, such as terrestrial rice, corn, or tubers.
Talun farming system (tegal yard)
Talun is a component commonly found in agroecosystems in West Java. Talun is one of the typical
agroforestry systems, planted with a mixture of perennials and perennial crops, where the structure
resembles a forest, commonly found outside of settlements and only a few are in settlements.
Yard farming system
The yard is a piece of land that is located around the house and is generally fenced around. Above the
yard there are various kinds of plants. The shape and pattern of garden plants cannot be equated,
depending on the area of the land, height of place, climate, distance from the city, and type of plants.
Plantation farming system
Plantations are defined as all forms of activities that cultivate certain plants on the soil or other growing
media in the appropriate ecosystem; including processing and marketing the products and services
produced by these plants with the help of science and technology, capital and management to bring
prosperity to planters and the community.

CLOSING:
Okay, thank you for the explanation. The conclusion of the presentation that we delivered is
Conclusion
Agriculture in a broad sense includes all activities that involve the use of living things (including plants,
animals and microbes) for the benefit of humans. In a narrow sense, agriculture is defined as a plant
cultivation activity.

For our presentations, maybe someone would like to ask about the material that we delivered?
Alright, thank you for your attention to our presentation. Sorry if there is an error because we
are also still in the learning process. Thank you. Wassalamualalaikum Wr. Wb
