Method Statement for Re-Testing of Tower A & B Façade LED Strip Lights

I. OBJECTIVE
Re-testing for the functionality of the installed Façade LED Strip Lightings and all its
components on Tower A & B in accordance with the contract documents.

II. GENERAL CRITERIA


The Scope of this method statement is to define the general procedure that will be
followed in re-testing the functionality of the installed Façade LED Strip Lightings and all
its components on Tower A & B.

III. TEST INSTRUMENTS


 Insulation Resistance Tester
 Continuity Tester
 Voltage Sensing Device

IV. REQUIREMENTS FOR TESTING INSPECTION


A. Prior to inspection Engineers must inspect the area to avoid unnecessary delay of
inspection.
B. All Testing Representatives & Staff must attend the inspection.
C. Prior to inspection, Contractor’s Engineer must prepare documents, brochure and
shop drawings if necessary for easy checking and prepare test data.
D. Contractor’s Representative/Engineers must prepare necessary tools for inspection.
E. As-built drawings.
F. Approved shop drawings and material submittals.
G. Previous test data.
H. Testing data sheets.
I. Calibration Certificate of the Test Instruments that will be used for re-testing.

V. SAFETY AND HEALTH PRECAUTION


A. Risk Management – The safety procedure generally have to be applied for all
Engineers, Supervisors and Workers.
 Make sure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) be provided on site
before starting of work such as hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves,
mask, etc.
 Make sure that PPE must be wear in correct way when working.
 Tools and equipments shall be inspected by authorized person before
carried out the work.
 Always use a calibrated rated voltage sensing device to confirm power is off
before performing any work activity.
 Fire extinguishers shall be provided on site wherever works and is always
ready to use.
B. List of Actual Risk during Testing
 Electrocution from the LED Strip Lightings.
 Damage to the devices during testing.
 Injuries during testing.
C. Mitigations and Precautionary Measure to Avoid Risk
 Only qualified person to perform the testing.
 Only use appropriate calibrated equipment/instrument during testing.
 Only use appropriate tools during testing.
