Mount Apo in Davao City is the highest mountain in the Philippines. It stands at 2,954 meters above sea level and is located within the provinces of Davao del Sur, North Cotabato and South Cotabato. The mountain is home to diverse wildlife and is considered a biodiversity hotspot with many endemic plant and animal species. It is a popular destination for hiking, mountain climbing and camping.

Amusement Park

Star City- Pasay

Star City is the Philippines' only all-weather, air-conditioned amusement park. It has
more than 30 different rides and attractions. It was established in 1991. Star City is an
offshoot of the annual Toys and Gift Fair, a Christmas trade exhibition by the Philippine
Center for International Trade and Exhibit (PhilCite) first organized in 1976. The facility
is owned by Star Parks Corporation, a subsidiary of Elizalde Holdings Corp.
AQUARIA

Aquaria Water Park- Calatagan Batangas

Aquaria Water Park boasts more than a half-kilometer of a beach area with an amazing
structure of water park showcasing pools for all ages, kids, and adults. The water park
also highlights a 3-story waterslide and cove pool looking like a beach in itself. The
waterpark boasts many swimming pools that are suitable for many guests .
ARTS AND MUSEUM AND GALLERIES

National Museum of Fine Arts- Manila

The National Museum of Fine Arts, formerly called the National Art Gallery, is housed in
the old Legislative Building. The façade of the building had classical features using
stylized Corinthian columns, ornamentation and Renaissance inspired sculptural forms.
Construction of the building began in 1918 and completed in 1921 . The building holds
the country's National Art Gallery, natural sciences and other support.
BEACHES

Pundaguitan Beach- Davao Oriental

Pundaguitan Beach can be found in Davao Oriental. It has a stunning stretch of pink
sand, surrounded by green coconut trees. It is also known as the Parola Beach since it
is located near the Parola Lighthouses. Pundaguitan’s pink sand coloration is an effect
of the Red Organ-pipe coral sediments that are mixed with its original white sand.
CASINOS

City of Dreams- Metro Manila

It is the second of four billion dollar casinos to rise in Manila's gaming strip after Solaire
Resort & Casino which opened in March 2013. The resort consists of six hotel towers
with 938 rooms and It has 289 gaming tables, 1,620 slot machines and 176 electronic
table games. A feature of the casino resort is the dome-like structure called Fortune Egg
which houses two international nightclubs namely, Chaos and Pangaea, both developed
by the group led by “International King of Clubs” Michael Van Cleef Ault.
CASTLE AND FORTS

Fort Santiago- Intramuros Manila

The fort is one of the most important historical sites in Manila. Several lives were lost in
its prisons during the Spanish Empire and World War II. José Rizal, one of the
Philippine national heroes, was imprisoned here before his execution in 1896. The Rizal
Shrine museum displays memorabilia of the hero in their collection and the fort features,
embedded onto the ground in bronze, his footsteps representing his final walk from his
cell to the location of the actual execution.
FORESTS

Mahogany Forest- Bohol

Is a man-made mahogany forest stretching in a two-kilometer stretch of densely planted


Mahogany trees located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. Before and after this
man-made forest are the naturally grown forests of Loboc and Bilar which are thick with
a kaleidoscope of green foliage, different species of trees and giant ferns lining the
road. The man-made forest stands out because of the uniformity in height of the big
trees, the spread of its branches, thickness and design of leaves.
GARDENS AND PARKS

Bacolod Public Plaza- Bacolod, Negros Occidental

Officially called Plaza del 6 de Noviembre, the Bacolod landmark is named after the day
the Spanish government gave up Negros Island to the revolutionaries. The trapezoidal
plaza is lined with trees at the side, along with four fountains where you’ll usually find
locals leisurely spending their afternoons. Bands and dance groups use the main
pavilion in the plaza during celebrations as the large area covered by the park makes it
the ideal venue for the culmination of the popular Masskara Festival every year.
HERITAGE RAILWAYS

Vigan - Ilocos Sur

Intramuros usually gets all the praise when it comes to must-see historic towns.
However, Intramuros served as the capital during Spanish colonial times so its buildings
are a mix of government offices and private houses. The city of Vigan, on the other
hand, is a planned colonial town. Think modern subdivision
HIKING TRAILS

Masungi Georeserve – Rizal

Another near-Metro favorite is the Masungi Georeserve in Rizal. This 1,600-hectare


conservation area set within lush rainforests and limestone formations has quickly
become a famous day-trip destination. The trail, which takes three to four hours to
complete, is made exciting by a variety of paths and rope obstacles and made beautiful
by several spectacular viewpoints in between. Nature lovers will feel right at home.
Historic Houses and Places

Juan Luna Shrine- Badoc, Ilocos Norte

Badoc is the birthplace of renowned painter and nationalist Juan Luna. The two-story
ancestral home of the Lunas now contains reproductions of some of his famous
paintings, and is a repository of the artist’s personal effects. The antiques are a glimpse
to how they lived during that time.
Lakes

Kayangan lake- Coron Palawan

One of the dubbed main attractions in Coron, Palawan is the kKayangan Lake.
Kayangan Lake is the remarkable splendor that is encompassed by gigantic imestone
and verdant greens. The lake is recognized as the cleanest in the country and is
comprised of a blend of 70% fresh water and 30% salt water.
Monasteries, Cathedrals, Temples and Shrines

Quiapo Church- Manila

Quiapo Church is a 1933 replacement of an older structure destroyed by fire. One of


Manila’s best-known landmarks, Quiapo is the home of the Black Nazarene, an image
of Christ believed to be miraculous. The life-size statue, carved from ebony, was first
brought to Quiapo in 1767. Twice a year the greatly revered image is carried on the
shoulders of thousands of devotees in one of Manila’s biggest religious festivals,
the Black Nazarene Procession.
Monuments and Memorials

Rizal Park- Manila

The Rizal Park is a memorial in Rizal Park in Manila, Philippines built to commemorate
the executed Filipino nationalist, José Rizal. The monument consists of a
standing bronze sculpture of Rizal, with an obelisk, set on a stone base within which his
remains are interred. A plaque on the pedestal's front reads: "To the memory of José
Rizal, patriot and martyr, executed on Bagumbayan Field December Thirtieth 1896. This
monument is dedicated by the people of the Philippine Islands."
