Service Bulletin: Engine Fuel and Control - New Fadec With Software Version C10 For The Ae 3007C Enhanced Engine
BULLETIN
A. Effectivity
(1) Engines
All AE 3007C Enhanced engines.
(2) Spares
This service bulletin can be applicable to FADECs with hardware P/N 23074372 or
23085791.
NOTE: The FADEC hardware P/N is located on the small label on top of the FADEC
(Ref. FIG. 1).
B. Reason
This service bulletin introduces new FADEC hardware and software assemblies (23092714 and
23092711) that incorporate FADEC software version C10 (23092687).
FADEC software version C10 is an incremental change from the FADEC software version C9.2
used on the AE 3007C engine.
FADEC software version C10 upgrade incorporates changes that correct production and field
issues related to the current FADEC software configuration as well as an on--wing life
improvement. The primary changes include:
(1) Incorporation of Shaft Break Logic.
(2) Incorporation of NDOT Starting Logic.
(3) MN Reasonable Data Limit Improvement.
(4) TLA Fault Accommodation Logic Improvements.
(5) T2.5 to ADC Difference Check Logic Improvements.
(6) ITT Software Trim and CVG Schedule Change to Increase Max Con Margin.
(7) Annunciation of Inflight POWINT to Maintenance Computer.
C. Description
This service bulletin gives you the procedure to reprogram the FADEC hardware and software
assembly (FADEC assembly) (FADECs with hardware P/N 23074372 or 23085791) to FADEC
assembly (23092714 or 23092711) and change the FADEC identification labels.
A Rolls--Royce Controls and Data Services (CDS) authorized representative will reprogram and
reidentify the FADEC assemblies.
This service bulletin transmits CDS service bulletins AFFU100--73--7831 and
AFFU101--73--7831.
D. Approval
Technical aspects are FAA approved.

NOTE: For FADEC with hardware part number 23085791 (Ref. AE 3007C--73--046, SB),
do not remove the diode adapter label (Ref. FIG. 2).
NOTE: The attached CDS SB is for use by CDS authorized service technicians or other
authorized personnel.
(5) Install the four FADEC assemblies (Ref. TASK 73--25--10--400--801, MM). To make sure
that the correct ITT trim plug is installed on the engine, use AE 3007C Maintenance
Manual Revision 56 or later.
(a) If necessary, connect the diode adapter to the J4 connector (Ref. TASK
70--00--00--910--804, MM) and put the anti--tamper label on the FADEC and the diode
adapter (Ref. AE 3007C--73--046, SB).
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE AIRCRAFT UNLESS ALL FOUR OF THE FADECS
HAVE THE SAME SOFTWARE VERSION INSTALLED. INCORRECT ENGINE
OPERATION CAN RESULT FROM USE OF FADECS WITH TWO DIFFERENT
SOFTWARE VERSIONS.
(6) Supply electrical power to the FADECs (Ref. Cessna Model 750, AMM).
(7) Put the avionics power switch to the ON position (Ref. Cessna Model 750, AMM).
(8) Cycle all of the FADEC circuit breakers (breakers) when you open and close the breakers
three times.
(9) Examine the EICAS display for the messages listed below:

(10) If one or more of the above messages are displayed on the EICAS, then do the appropriate
fault isolation task for the message displayed (Ref. Introduction, FIM).
CAUTION: THE ENGINES CANNOT BE OPERATED WITH ONE OR MORE OF THE
DISPLAYED EICAS MESSAGES LISTED ABOVE. DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE
CAN RESULT.
(11) Do the engine operational check with FADEC channel A selected in control for both
engines (Ref. TASK 72--00--00--700--801, MM).
NOTE: Do not remove electrical power from the avionics bus.
CAUTION: IF ONE OR MORE OF THE MESSAGES LISTED BELOW ARE DISPLAYED ON
