1. Internet Explorer
1.1 How to add e-Stamping website as a safe site?
Step 1:
a) Go to Tools > Internet Options1.

b) Select Privacy tab. Click Sites button.

1 If menu bar is hidden, you may activate it by doing one of the followings:
 Press Alt key to activate the menu.
 Right click a blank area on the toolbar or tab-bar.
 In the context menu that appears, select Menu Bar.

c) Type “iras.gov.sg” into the Address of Web site: box provided and click Allow
button.

d) Click OK button to exit the Per Site Privacy Actions panel.


e) Click OK button to save your settings.

Step 2:
a) Go to Tools > Compatibility View Settings.

b) Type “iras.gov.sg” into the Add this website: box provided and click Add button.
Then check the box for Display all websites in Compatibility View.

c) Click Close button to save your settings.

1.2 How to enable JavaScript?


a) Go to Tools > Internet options.

b) Select Security tab. Select Internet icon and click Custom Level button.

c) Scroll to the Scripting section. Select Enable for Active scripting.

d) Click OK button to exit the Security Settings - Internet Zone panel.


e) Click OK button to save your settings.

1.3 How to deactivate pop-up blocker?


a) Go to Tools > Internet Options.

b) Select Privacy tab.


c) Uncheck the Turn on Pop-up Blocker box under Pop-up Blocker section.

d) Click OK button to save settings.

1.4 How to enable download setting?


a) Go to Tools > Internet Options.

b) Select Security tab. Select Internet and click Custom Level button.

c) Scroll to the Downloads section. Select Enable for both Automatic prompting for
file downloads and File download.

Note: For Internet Explorer version 9 and above, you need to enable only for File download.

d) Click OK button to exit the Security Settings - Internet Zone panel.


e) Click OK button to save your settings.

2.1 For PC/ Desktop
2.1.1 How to add e-Stamping website as a safe site?
a) Click the 3-horizontal line icon on the far right of the Address bar.
b) Go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and click Show advanced settings link.

c) Click Change proxy settings under Network.

d) Select Security tab > Trusted Sites icon, then click Sites button.

e) Type “iras.gov.sg” into the box provided and click Add button (make sure
“Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone” is unchecked).

f) Click Close > OK to save settings.

c) Under the menu tab, tap Settings, followed by Site settings.

d) Under Site settings, tap JavaScript. Under JavaScript, toggle the switch for JavaScript
(Allow sites to run JavaScript) control to enable the JavaScript.

5.1.1 How to add e-Stamping website as a safe site?
a) Open up the Preferences page by pressing on Command-Comma (⌘ + ,) on the
keyboard. Alternatively, you can open up Preferences by choosing Safari >
Preferences.

b) Under the General tab, click the “New windows open with” menu and select Top
Sites option, and close the window.

c) Browse to e-Stamping homepage site (key in estamping.iras.gov.sg in the URL bar


and press enter).
d) Then add the webpage to the Top Sites (Safe sites):
i. Open up the add bookmark menu by pressing the Command-D (⌘ + D) on
the keyboard. Alternatively, you may click on Bookmarks > Add Bookmark…

ii. Under Add this page to: section, select Top Sites and click on the Add button.

5.1.2 How to enable JavaScript?


a) Open up the Preferences page by pressing on Command-Comma (⌘ + ,) on the
keyboard. Alternatively, you can open up Preferences by clicking Safari >
Preferences.

b) Click Security tab. Check the Enable JavaScript box.

c) Close the window to save settings.

6. Is there any software that I need before I begin e-Stamping?


Before you begin e-stamping, you need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to be
able to download payment slip and stamp certificate.

For other operating systems, you may refer to the link here on which version to install.

7. Google Chrome/ Mozilla Firefox: I experience technical difficulties/


page error when performing e-Stamping.
This could be because you had checked the box to prevent the page from creating
additional dialogues (ref screenshots below).

Please close your browser and reopen it. This time, do not check the box.
