I am writing this letter as a token of my love for you, as a keepsake for
you to treasure, and as a reminder of my commitment to us and to our life together. 1227 days that’s how long I have been your partner. It is the timespan of a single orbit around the sun and a total of 29,448 hours. It has numerous misunderstandings, a few fights, and a number of shed tears. But It is also a countless laugh, and an unbelievable amount of happiness. Through these adventures, you have shown me a love I never thought imaginable. Events in my past had made me grow cold and guarded. You acknowledged my flaws and embraced me for the person I am. Somehow, you were able to break down my walls, teaching me to trust in the unpredictability of love, life, and relationships. For that, I am grateful.
So, thank you. Thank you for not only being my partner but also being my best friend, my shoulder to cry on and so much more. Most of all, thank you for being my person.
I do not know what our future holds, but whatever it is we will face it together. I want you to know that I love you, ALL OF YOU, and I always will. We get old and get use to each other. We think alike. We read each other’s minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe sometimes take each other for granted. But once in a while, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest person I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better and You’re the object of my desire.
