3. Motivation (Video Presentation)
The teacher will show a video about Chart and the students will share what they
have observed and the teacher will tell the class the significance of the video to
the topic.
B. Presentation
Lesson Proper
What is chart?
A chart allows you to illustrate or compare data. Charts are also used to easily
understand the increase or decrease in amounts and the percentages or portion
of a group of data.
Inserting a chart
1. Click the Insert Tab, go to Illustration Group and click the Chart button.
2. On the Insert Chart dialog box, select the type of charts which you would like
to use.
3. Click Ok and the Microsoft Excel worksheet will appear wherein you can type
your data.
4. Close the worksheet and the chart will automatically appear in the slide.
You can also insert a chart using the New Slide button.
1. On the Home Tab of the ribbon click layout and select teh Title and Content.
2. On the Insert Graphic Menu, select Insert Chart.
Modifying the chart
You can change the data, format or type of a chart.
1. To modify the data, show the datasheet by right clicking the mouse and when
the pop-up menu appears select Edit Data.
2. To modify the chart type, click the Change Chart Type and make a selection
on the available options.
3. To modify the fonts, colors, lines and designs, click the Format Chart Area and
make a selection on the available options.
Chart Tools Design
You can design design the chart by clicking the chart itself and the Chart
Tools Design tab will appear on the Ribbon. Select from the various commands
available.

The students will create a bussiness presentation in MS Powerpoint using Charts.
