looking for an experienced and motivated leader to fill the position of Reservoir Engineering Manager within our joint venture company, ADNOC Sour Gas, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
ADNOC Sour Gas is a joint venture between Occidental, a 40% shareholder, and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), a 60% shareholder. With 23% H2S and 10% CO2, the S
the most complex gas condensate reservoirs in the world. ADNOC Sour Gas is the first large scale development of ultra-sour gas in the Arabian Gulf. Production started in Jan 2015, and
processes over 1 billion cubic feet (BCF) of ultra-sour gas per day to produce sweet gas, NGLs, condensate and sulphur.
The Reservoir Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the reservoir development team to deliver a full field, updated revision of the simulation model development plan to maximiz
and support comprehensive development well design and planning. The Reservoir Engineering Manager reports to the VP Subsurface.
Key Deliverables:
• Development planning.
• Leading the reservoir development team to incorporate the new geological information (interpretation and geomodelling) into an optimized, dynamic full field, 3-D reservoir simulation mo
• Lead the team to determine potential risk factors and associated sensitivities to field development and their ultimate impact on economics.
• Working with the other subsurface and drilling teams to determine the optimum field development strategy.
• Constructing new, fit for purpose sector models to help evaluate well geometry, placement & to assess critical upscaling concepts required to capture fine scale flow behavior.
• Overseeing the synthesis of existing flow data into a set of compositional and property maps to generate a set of equation of state (EOS) models in line with the PVT datasets.
• Overseeing the PVT and SCAL studies for integration into the simulation modelling.
• Create multiple field development scenarios using Enersight and present production and cash flow estimates and key economic indicators of each scenario
• Provide production and economic sensitivities for high and low case scenarios in development plans, along with decision paths for contingency plans
• Quantify all risk in development plans: permitting, land, reservoir, facilities and infrastructure, and development timing risk
• Work with Well Analysis and Design team to validate type curve assumptions and areas of application
Qualifications
Education:
• B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering
Professional/Technical Knowledge:
• A strong working knowledge of unconventional development, sub-surface characterization and field development planning.
• Knowledge of financial analysis and quantifying risk.
Experience:
• Minimum 15 years Reservoir Engineering including proficiency with simulation software (PSIM, Eclipse); field development planning; volumetrics analysis; material balance; well perform
uncertainty analysis
• Large development project experience. Sour gas and Middle Eastern experience is a plus.
