LI 00.742 Salmonella VIDAS Easy SLM Micro

This technical datasheet describes a qualitative two-day screening test for Salmonella using the VIDAS® automated system. The method detects Salmonella antigens using the Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay (ELFA) method after samples are transferred to a selective broth following incubation in a non-selective broth to allow recovery and growth of Salmonella. Positive results are then confirmed using a reference isolation and identification method for Salmonella. The method is applicable to raw materials, line samples, finished products, and environmental samples.

Technical Datasheet

Analysis Name: Salmonella VIDAS® Easy SLM

Method Number: LI-00.742

Scope of Application: Raw materials, line samples, finished products, and environmental
samples.

Description: This method is a qualitative two day screening test for Salmonella
on the automated VIDAS® system, which detects Salmonella
antigens using the Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay (ELFA)
method. Samples are transferred to a selective broth following
incubation in a non-selective broth to allow the recovery and
growth of Salmonella. When a positive result is obtained, it is
confirmed by following the reference method for isolation and
identification of Salmonella (LI-00.713).

Sample Weight 25g, 100g, 125g, 150g, 250g, 325g, and 375g
Required:

Method Reference: AFNOR (certificate number BIO 12/16-09/05)

AOAC 2011.03

Analytical Platform: Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay

Special information: Matrices that are inhibitory to the growth of Salmonella when
enriched at 1:10 are subject to higher dilutions.

Analyte Alias Unit of Limit of Reproducibility

Reported Measure Quantification
Salmonella spp. Per g, mL, or
