EXECUTIVE ORDER NO.

Series of 2019

ESTABLISHMENT OF BARANGAY BASED INSTITUTIONS OF BARANGAY INZO


ARNALDO VILLAGE, ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ

WHEREAS, the local Government Code of 1991 and other existing laws prescribe the
establishment of barangay Based Institutions (BBI’s) in the furtherance of the objectives of barangay
government and to serve as mechanisms in addressing the needs of the community.

WHEREAS, the change in the membership of the Sangguniang Barangay brought about by the
recent Barangay and SK elections requires reorganization/reconstitution of BBI’s so as to conform to the
existing composition of the Sanggunian.

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay recognizes the presence of active civil society
organizations eligible for inclusion as members of the BBI’s.

WHEREAS, to avoid confusion abd overlapping of functions, uneconomical utilization of human,


material and financial resources, the barangay will cluster the committees into two clusters/committees
namely the Expanded Barangay Peace and Order Committee and the Eepanded Barangay Development
Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, I EINSTEIN CHINUMEZI T. OKPORA, Punong Barangay of Barangay


Inzo Arnaldo Vil;age, Roxas City, Capiz, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby establish
the following Barbagy Based Institutions of Barangay Inzo Arnaldo Village, Roxas City, Capiz.

Section 1. Composition, functions and responsibilities of the Expanded Barangay Development


Council. The Barangay Development Council (BDC) is a planning coordinative body in the barangays. It
is mandated by law to assist the Sangguniang barangay in setting the direction of economic and social
development and in coordinating development efforts within the barangay.
