LEGAL WRITING
1st Semester, School Year 2018 to 2019

Course Description:

The course will focus on the fundamentals of effective legal writing and introduce the students to the basic principles
of writing good legal correspondence and pleadings.

Course Objective:

The aim of this course is to help law students appreciate and observe the diligence required for effective legal
writing and be able to write legal documents clearly and effectively. They must also be able to recognize the ethical and
professional responsibilities involved in legal writing.

Grading:

The components of the final grade for the course are listed below:

Midterm Exams: 30%


Final Exam: 30%
Attendance/Recitation: 20%
Seatworks/Quizzes: 10%
Trial Memorandum: 10%
