Human and Plant Excretion Systems

The biological process by which an organism removes harmful metabolic wastes from the body is known as excretion. In humans, the excretory system removes nitrogenous wastes like urea from the blood through the kidneys, where it is filtered and forms urine, which is then stored in the bladder and expelled through the urethra. Plants excrete gaseous wastes like carbon dioxide and water, as well as solid wastes that may be stored in vacuoles or shed with leaves or other tissues.
