Bullying
Bullying is the deliberate and continued physical and or psychological abuse of a child by another or
others, who behave cruelly towards it with the aim of subjecting and scaring it, in order to obtain a
favorable result for the bullies or simply to satisfy the need to attack and destroy that they tend to
present. Bullying implies a continuous repetition of ridicule or aggression and can lead to social
exclusion of the victim. Bullying is suffered by children and youth when are cruelly abused by
another or other children, with the purpose of intimidating scaring and shaming them stalker get
some advantage for bullying. Bullying take place in the classroom and in the school yard. We can
talk about several types of bullying that often appear simultaneously: Physical: pushing, kicking,
aggression with objects, etc. It occurs more frequently in primary than in secondary. Verbal: insults
and nicknames, contempt in public, highlight physical defects, etc. It is the most usual. Psychological:
undermine the self-esteem of the individual and encourage their sense of fear. Sexual: is any
unwanted sexual behavior, which may include touching, obscene language, sexual jokes, comments
on the superiority of one sex over the other, etc. between equals. Some causes of bullying is because
the stalker usually presents some kind of psychopathology. Fundamentally, it presents absence of
empathy and some type of cognitive distortion. Generally, it is usually a person who has seen
violence regularly, gets used to it or in his at home, his family members are treated aggressively and
treat him inappropriately. The consequences of bullying are many and profound. For the victim of
harassment, intrafamily violence, no limits in the home and they went from being victims to stalker.
The consequences are noted with an evident low self-esteem, passive attitudes, emotional
disorders, psychosomatic problems, depression, anxiety or suicidal thoughts, problems of academic
performance and school failure, problems related to self- stem, ideas and suicide attempt, school
phobia, physical problems, problems of social exclusion. To prevent. It is necessary for the
cooperation of parents, teacher and students, never violence as a solution to problem and
encourage values as responsibility, cooperation and solidary.
