Course objectives
This course is designed to update experienced technicians on the 2017 Samsung Chef Collection products
including refrigerators, vent hood, combo-ovens and cook tops.
Upon successful completion of this course, the attendees will be able to:
Properly diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Enter and utilize all of the service related modes.
Perform disassembly and re-assembly procedures necessary to service Chef Collection products.
Section 1: Refrigerator
The models covered in this section include the 42in model: BRF425200AP/AA and the 36in model
BRF365200AP/AA:
Unlocking the Control Lock is necessary before entering any mode
Cooling off mode
Activate - Press Ice Maker + Filter Reset + Control Lock until 0 – FF appears
* Note: Cooling and Heating will be disabled
Deactivate - Repeat above step until Normal temperature settings are displayed
Force Mode
1. Press Freezer+ Control Lock for 5 seconds and release when it blinks
2. Press Control Lock again to enter

Enter Force Mode to activate *FF-Fr-F FF- C FF- A FF* note A FF will activate all
Notes:
TDM BRF9000 – 42in
The Time Divided Multi-Cycle (TDM) System (Stepper Valve) is used to switch refrigerant flow.
This improves temperature control and energy efficiency.

TDM BRF8000 – 36in TDM 4 Way
The TDM valve 4 way has 3 out
routes, Fridge, Freezer Speed and
Freezer. Freezer speed is used to
send more refrigerant to the freezer
for faster cooling when necessary.
After the set temperature is set, the
nd
TDM will switch back to the 2
freezer setting that is energy
efficient and requires less
refrigerant.
Load Mode
Load Mode will display what is running or active, with the use of the reference chart
