Falling Snow

This lesson plan teaches students the chant "Falling Snow" using call and response and ostinato techniques. Students will first learn the chant through speaking and body percussion. They will then divide into groups to perform different ostinato patterns and the poem together. Instruments will be added to each part. The goal is for students to demonstrate understanding of musical form and be able to perform the chant with words, rhythms, and layered ostinato patterns.
