Food Tests Investigation

The document outlines procedures for testing foods for the presence of various components like starch, protein, glucose, and fat. For each test, the food is added to a solution and the color change is observed and recorded. Starch is tested with iodine solution, protein with biuret solution, glucose with Benedict's solution, and fat by rubbing on greaseproof paper. Questions are included about the expected color changes and foods that tested positive for each component. The tests allow identification of the major macromolecules in different foods.
