with 80% proficiency:
a. derive the distance formula;
b. solve problems related to distance formula; and
c. state the significance of distance formula in our daily lives.

II. Content and Materials

A. Topic: Distance Formula
B. References:
1. Callanta, et. al, Mathematics: Learners’ Module for Grade 10, Rex Bookstore,
Inc. Philippines, pages 297-300..
2. DepED Curriculum Guide
C. Instructional Materials
1. PowerPoint presentation about Distance formula
2. Video presentation of introducing the Distance formula
3. Video presentation for the activities

III. Procedure
A. Activity
The teacher will tell the class “let’s have a game this is called L.D.R or line
distance rate.”. the teacher will explain the mechanics of the game.
The teacher will tell the students that “Before we tackle about our topic for today
we will first watch a video. Get your notebooks and then write all the things that catches
your eyes that is presented in the video.” The teacher will let the students watch the video
presentation.

B. Analysis

After watching the video, the teacher will ask questions like, “What is the title of the
video presentation?”, “What is the video all about?”, “What is the formula to find the
distance of two points?”

C. Abstraction

The teacher will tell the student that they will derive the distance formula. The
teacher will ask a question. What is the distance of this points?

The group that has the highest points will receive a reward and also the team who will be
the first to pass their answers.
