SKILLS
Verbal and Written Communication: An ability to effectively speak with students,
utilizing a calm, clear tone and positive body language making material accessible and
meaningful for students. This also applies to effective face to face communication with
parents and colleagues. Proficiency with formal writing and researching skills, enabling
clear and professional written communication.
Critical Thinking/Flexibility: A balance between organization and flexibility due to
critical thinking skills. Having well thought out lessons and units, but also being open to
change and alteration is a balance that I try to maintain. A teacher never knows what the
day will throw at them, therefore critical thinking in a fair and decisive manner is an
important skill that I possess.
Relationship Building: Building a positive and beneficial relationship with each of my
students and my fellow teachers is of the utmost importance and an ability that I pride
myself upon.
Passion: Enthusiasm and emotion shown while teaching to inspire that same level of
eagerness in the students. A dedication to my profession and constant striving to better
myself as an educator.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
Competed in baseball, basketball, football, and archery. I still enjoy staying active and
participating in these activities. I also have a long-lasting interest and involvement with
agriculture and enjoy working with my hands and being outdoors.
