Bass - Major Scales

“Major” Scales use all the notes (Key of “A” = A, B, C#, D, E, F#, G#). Most scales
(and chords) can be “built” from the notes in the Major scales. So using the Major
scale as a “reference” helps when comparing to other scales (Ex: Take two notes
away, and you now have a “Minor Pentatonic” scale).

Rock, and Jazz chord progressions).
Picking Sequence: It is suggested to “alternate” your picking (using the 1st and 2nd fingers of your picking hand) when
practicing any of these scales - this will help develop coordination and speed between your right and left hands.
