19th century. It is related to Romanticism, the European artistic and literary movement that
arose in the second half of the 18th century, and Romantic music in particular dominated
the Romantic movement in Germany. The Romantic period, music became more expressive
and emotional, expanding to encompass literary, artistic, and philosophical themes. The late

Born on March 1, 1810, in Zelazowa Wola, Poland, Frédéric Chopin, grew up in a
middle-class family. He published his first composition at age 7 and began
performing one year later.
He died on October 17, 1849, in Paris, France. In 1832, He played at Salle Pleyel
Chopin expressed emotional ambiguity that owed and intrigued his listeners.
He also used luminous music textures and evocative melodies.

the National Society of Music in 1871. He is best known for his opera Samson et
Dalila and his symphonic poems.
