1. Organization of a selected construction company
a. Logo and background information on the selected company
b. State the construction sector of the selected company (i.e. residential, industrial,
commercial and civic)
c. Draw an organizational chart of personnel (managers, workers, tasks and
relationships)
d. Indicate the Industry codes and standards the company adheres to

b. Determine the function of the following departmental roles as it relates to the
company:
i. Engineering design;
ii. Industrial production;
iii. Industrial maintenance.
c. Draw an organizational chart of personnel (managers, workers, tasks and
relationships)
e. Indicate the Industry codes and standards the company adheres to
3. A set of Safety rules to be followed in a workshop or on the worksite;
a. Consider the Electrical Workshop at the LHCSS, draft at least 10 safety rules that
can be implemented to the workshop.
b. For each safety rule, state the reason for its relevance.

5. Every accident must be reported to an employer and minor accidents reported to a
supervisor, safety officer or first aider and the details of the accident and treatment given
suitably documented. A first aid logbook or accident book such as shown below, contains
first aid treatment record sheets that could be used to effectively to document accidents
which occur in the workplace. Failure to do so may influence the payment of
compensation later if an injury leads to permanent disability. Write an accident report
based on your scenario of an accident that can occur in the Electrical workshop. See
Fig. 1 for a template of the accident report
A sample of the accident report is at the end of this document.

Section 2 – Design analysis of a simple manufactured product


A. Perform a design analysis on either a blender or a microwave
B. Provide a rough sketch of the product (or schematics)
C. Product Analysis Report
In this section, you should prepare a product analysis report based on the following features:
• Aesthetics
• Functionality
• Economics
• Ergonomics (if apply)
• Suitability of Material used
• Decoration
• Selection of materials
