Project Milestone Requirements

Note all submission should gave the group and it’s number, and all members listed on the
title page.

Milestone One: A document based on IEEE Std. 830-1984 section 1, and the
members of your group with their roles.

Milestone Two: A document based on IEEE Std. 830-1984 section 2.

Milestone Three: A document based on IEEE Std. 830-1984 section 3.

Final Document: The final document combines the documents created in


the 3 milestones and a fourth section. The fourth section that will contain:
• project management
• design information
• quality assurance plans
• staffing
• cost analysis
Normally, these items are not included in an SRS but we are responding to an RFP and so
we would include these items.

From this document, you will create your PowerPoint presentation.

Elements of an Software Requirements


Specifications (SRS)
• user goals
• context description
• behavioral/functional requirements
• non-behavioral/extra-functional requirements
• constraints
• assumptions

Normally NOT included in an SRS: but which will be


for our project
• project management
• design information
• quality assurance plans
• staffing
• cost analysis

An SRS should be:


• correct
• non-ambiguous
• complete
• verifiable
• consistent
