Revision History
Read the safety instructions before any operation of the equipment. The safety precautions
mentioned in this manual only serve as a supplement to the local safety codes.
Only trained professionals are allowed to install, operate and maintain the equipment. ZTE
bears no liability to the consequences incurred by violation of the general safety operation
requirements, or violation of the safety standards for designing, manufacturing and using
the equipment.
Take the following precautions when installing and operating the equipment.
High Voltage
Direct contact or indirect contact with high voltage and mains through damp object will
endanger the operators life.
l Observe the local safety codes during the equipment installation. The installation
personnel must be qualified for high voltage and AC power operations.
l Never wear any conductive object, such as watch, bracelet or ring during the operation
on the equipment.
l Prevent any moisture from entering the equipment during operations.
DC Short Circuit
Avoid short circuit during operation. ZXDU58 B900 system is a power supply product of
constant DC voltage.
Setting all the breakers and switches to Off will cause power supply interruption to the
loads connected. Do not shut down the system without permission. Or, switch the
loads to another power supply system.
l Prior to connecting a cable, make sure that the cable and its label are in accordance
with the requirement.
Tools Safety
When operating high-voltage equipment, tools safety must be considered. Use Insulated
Tools.
Electrostatic Damage
Electrostatic discharges generated by human body may damage components. Use wrist
straps when handling the equipment. Insulate the uncovered metals to prevent short
circuit.
Operation on Battery
l Before performing any operation on battery, read the safety precautions in the battery
manual.
l Connect the battery cables according to the instructions. Avoid short circuit and
electrolyte leakage.

1-1
The ZXDU58 B900 chassis contains the AC distribution unit, DC distribution unit,
rectifiers and monitoring unit.
Cable connection and system maintenance in front.
l Hot-pluggable rectifiers.
l Intelligent monitoring unit.
l Support multiple networking modes, such as RS232, RS485 and IP/SNMP (optional).
l High reliability with MTBF 2.2 105 h.
Caution!
Protect the equipment against ingress of objects with harmful effects, such as conductive
object and water. Otherwise, short circuit may occur and damage the equipment!
The requirements of the AC input power system of ZXDU58 B900 are as follows:
l The AC input mode of the ZXDU58 B900 system is single-phase three-wire (L/N/PE).
l The AC input voltage is 85 V - 300 V (phase voltage). The capacity of the AC input
switch that powers ZXDU58 B900 should be larger than 40 A.
l It is suggested to install a leakage current protection device in the AC power
distribution system that powers ZXDU58 B900.
