1. General Supervisory Practices
      a. Risk management planning dimensions
               i. All physical educators will be informed of the risk management plan
              ii. This risk management plan will be a part of the orientation of new
                  employees in physical education and a review of this plan will occur
                  during the beginning of each school year.
            iii. Physical educators will teach areas that they are skilled in and/or have a
                  certifications
             iv. All educators will be licensed to each physical education and be current in
                  their first aid and CPR certifications.
              v. The school policy for class size will be adhered to for physical education.
             vi. All areas designated for physical education during school hours will have
                  prober supervision.
            vii. When students are in different locations at the same time, they physical
                  educators will cooperate to monitor all areas.
      b. Management of student behavior/ Rules & Regulations
               i. Class rules we be taught the first day of class and will be retaught as
                  needed. Actives that have spefice rules will be taught before the lesson
                  and will also be posted in the activity areas.
                  1. 1Adhernce to safety rules, including the wear of safety equipment and
                  presented for the activities. All of the activities have risk for injury.
                  Failure to follow the safety rules may result in removal from participation
                  and loss of points. Repeating infractions will result in the referral to the
                  school disciplinary action.
                      2. Treat others with respect
                      3. Respect the learning environment my taking proper care of the
                         equipment and faculties.
                      4. Support and encourage the learning of others
                      5. Try your best.
                      6. No food is to be in the class due to the possibility of chocking.
                      7. Student dress- Students are to dress for the days activity. Generally
                         this will be gym shorts and a tee shirt socks tennis shoes and or sweats.
                         On days where the class will be outside Students will be notified and
                         expected to dress appropriate. Students are responsible to keep their
                         clothes laundered. Repeated failure to dress appropriate will result in a
                         notice home including reason for action.
                      Failure to follow these rules will result in a conference with the
                      instructions and/or a referral to school administrators for disciplinary
                      actions.
                           Rule infractions will be handled with on an individual basses and
                            result in hierarchy of responses such as: 1. Warning 2. Removal
                            from participation and docking of points 3. Notify administration
                            4. Conference with parents. (These steps may be skipped based on
                            seriousness of infraction.)
                  ii. Scholl policies will be adhered to in situations associated with following
                           Assault and battery or fighting
                           Intoxication or drug use
                           Harassment or hazing
C. Security
I. School security policy will be followed for physical education
      Students will be allowed in the locker-rooms only during specified times
      Students will have assigned locks and will be advised to use them to secure their
       property.
D. Care and injured & Emergency Procedures
       I. Emergency procedure Plan
    Injured students will be offered first aid
          First by physical educator with current first aid certification
          Follow up with school nurse, athletic trainer, or emergency response team if
            ambulance is needed
 Emergency treatment permission forms will be completed first week of classes and filed
  in the main office
 Each physical educator with have an emergence first aid kit with them during P.E. class
       The kit with include emergency phone numbers.
   II. The physical educator will complete an accident report for any student injury within
   24 hours of the injury
   III. School policy will be followed as related to natural disasters, run away students,
   violence, riots, or demonstrations
   II. Conduct of actives & Services
   A. Adequacy of instruction and Progress
       I. all activity skills will be taught in an appropriate progress based on students current
       skill level
       II. Safety and etiquette instruction will be included for all units
       III. Students will be required to wear safety gear that fits proper during all lessons that
       require safety equipment. All equipment will be checked for safety and used only if it
       passes.
       IV. Expectations for participation and safety will we explained. Students not
       following expectations will be removed from participant until they agree to follow
       rules.
   B. Use of warnings & Participation forms
      I. Safety warnings specify to the physical activity student are participating will be
      stated verbally and recorded as necessary.
       II. Both students and the parents or guardians will be required to read and sign an
       agreement to participate form at the beginning of each semester that informs them of
       the inherent risk of participating in the physical actives offered in the physical
       education program. The signatures indicate they are aware of the risk and the student
       agrees to participate and follow safety regulations for all activities.
   C. Maturity & condition of participants
       i.     Instructional actives will be designed in consideration of:
               the age, developmental stage, and size of participants
               students skill, experience and their mental and physical capabilities
                      disabilities students may have
                      students temporary stat or condition, physical or emotional.
       D. Transportation of students
              i. The school policy will be adhered to with regard of transportation of students to
                 activity sites or field trips.
III. Environmental Conditions
   A. Equipment
       i.        Equipment will be uses appropriate for the actity and the participants.
       ii.       Adequate protection devices and equipment will be worn
                    Instructions on how to wear and properly use the safety equipment will be
                     given to the students and they will be held responsible for following the
                     instructions
       iii.      Regular inspection o both regularly and safety equipment will be done prior to
                 activity. If any equipment if found unsafe it will not be used until fixed.
                    An inspection record will be kept to adherence to the inspection schedule
                    Equipment not meeting safety expectations , that is excess worn, broken, or
                     otherwise unserviceable will be discarded IAW an established policy that
                     prevents access to equipment by others
       iv.       All new equipment will be inspected upon deliver for serviceability and
                 consistence with purchase requisition
                        Manufacture warranties will be filed with a copy of purchase requisition
       v.        Any equipment supplied by students will be check for safety and alignment with
                 activity rules prior to being used in class
       vi.       Equipment rented will be checked for safety and usability before use in class
       vii.      Equipment donated will be inspected for safety and serviceability prior to use in
                 class.
       viii.     All equipment will be stored under conditions suggested by manufacture to
                 prolong its life span.
       ix.       All equipment will be secured against theft or unauthorized use.
   B. Facility layout.
       i.        All physical educators will be familiar with the facility layout including activity
                 areas, locker-rooms and streets, parking lots, and foot paths that students may
                 encounter during class times
                 Educators will be familiar with barriers to students with disabilities safety
                  hazards in the physical education areas, and security issues related to
                  facilities.
C. Maintenances of areas and Facilities
   i.     Physical educators will follow the inspection schedule for checking
                 Floors and surfaces, fields, aquatic facilities, showers and locker rooms
                 Required repairs will be record and forwarded to the main office
                 Areas presenting potential safety hazard will be avoided.
D. Health Hazards
   i.     School polices consistent with OSHA Standard will be followed related to
                 Clean up of blood-borne pathogens
                 Hazardous/chemical exposure and control
                 Sanitation of aquatics areas, locker-rooms, showers, toilet facilities
                 Can of poisons & inflammables.
