A satellite is an object which has been sent into space in order to collect information or to be part of a communications system.
Satellites move continually round the Earth or around another planet.

2. Type of Satellites
LEO (Low earth orbit)
(ex: Globalstar, Iridium, Terra)
This orbit is made for broadband satellite communication
MEO (medium earth orbit)
(ex: Beidou, Navstar, Galileo)
This orbit is made for GPS and Communication.
HEO (Highly elliptical orbit)
(ex: Arctica)
This orbit is made for satellites that do not revolve in circular orbits,
only a very few satellite are operating in this orbit.
GEO (Geo-stationary earth orbit)
(ex: Goes, Electro)
All radio and TV, whether satellite etc, are launched in this orbit.
