Lesson Plan Form 1

This lesson plan focuses on teaching students about the genre of speculative fiction. Students will start by writing a paragraph about what they think speculative fiction is. They will then view a short presentation and fill out a graphic organizer to help define what speculative fiction includes and excludes. Finally, students will write a paragraph identifying how the novel Leviathan fits into the speculative fiction genre as an exit ticket. The goal is for students to understand the concepts of speculative fiction and be able to identify examples that fall within the genre.
