Activity
In this activity, the students will expand their knowledge of the life in
the Virginia colony, Jamestown.

Prior to beginning this activity, the students watched a video/Power


Point made by the teacher on Jamestown. Therefore, the students
should have knowledge about Jamestown. The point of this activity is
to live the life a as colonist.

The teacher will start the week of by posting a video/ Power Point to
introducing the simulation. The teacher will ask the students question
about Jamestown. The student will need to type the question and reply
with an answer.

This activity asks the students to act like they are a colonist coming
over on one of the ships. The students must travel virtually and asked
questions to live though the life at Jamestown. The students can ask
help from the colonist, a native, or look in the charter. At the end, you
will get to compare your choices to what the real Jamestown colonists
did.

The student will need to post the questions from the Power Point along
with a screenshot of their results. The students must write 2 paragraphs
on their evaluation of their responses. In the 2 paragraphs, they should
have what they would change and the pros and cons of their choices.
Pedagogy

Once the students have submitted their work on our class blog, they
will need to respond to two classmates. (Try to pick two classmates
that have not had a response.)
