Biometrics Linux Installation

1. To install Biometrics on Linux, download and unzip the Biometrics_Installer file and run the Install.sh shell script. 2. The Install.sh script will detect the system and allow selecting an installation option. Selecting option 1 will install a Digital Persona fingerprint device, while option 2 installs a SecuGen device. 3. Option 3 launches the Biometrics.jar file using a file browser to begin using the biometrics software. Accepting license agreements is required during device driver installations.

Biometrics LI Linux Installation

Pre-requisite:
1. Java needs to be installed on the Linux system.

Installation Steps:
1. Download & Unzip 'Biometrics_Installer' on your Linux-based system.

2. Run 'Install.sh' by clicking on the file.

Note:
If the file does not open even after clicking, please follow these steps:
- Open 'Terminal' by pressing <Ctrl+Alt+T> or by searching it on your system.
- Change the directory to the folder where Biometrics_Installer is placed by typing:
cd Desktop/<path_to_the_folder>/Biometrics_Installer
- Run the 'Install.sh' by typing:
sudo ./Install.sh
- The terminal will prompt for admin password. Please enter the same. The entered password
will be transparent and cannot be seen.

3. This will run the shell script file Install.sh and you will see the welcome screen. Press <Enter>
key to continue. On doing so the shell script will automatically detect your directory and system
architecture. Select the appropriate action that you want to perform.

To install Digital Persona finger print device :-


1. Type '1' to install Digital Persona finger print device.
2. Press <Enter> to confirm the Installation.
3. Keeping pressing <Space Bar> or <Enter> to read the End User License Agreement.
4. Type 'Yes' or 'y' to confirm the EULA.
5. Keep typing 'Yes' or 'y' whenever prompted.

To install SecuGen (iDEA) finger print device :-
1. Type '2' to install SecuGen finger print device.
To launch jar :-
1. Type '3' to launch the jar.
2. A file browser will open. Browse to the Biometrics.jar file and press <Enter>.
