Question 1:

An incompressible fluid flows in a linear porous media with the following properties:

L = 2500 ft
h = 30 ft
width = 500 ft
k = 50 md
= 17%
= 2 cp
Inlet pressure = 2100 psia
Q = 4 bbl/day
= 45 lb/ft3

Assume the reservoir is tilted with a dip angle of 7. Calculate and plot the fluid potential profile
throughout the system.

Question 2:

A 0.7 specific gravity gas is flowing in a linear reservoir system at 150F. The upstream and downstream
pressures are 2000 and 1800 psia, respectively. The system has the following properties:

L 2000 ft
W 300 ft
h 15 ft
k 40 md
15%

Calculate the gas flow rate.

Question 3:

An oil well is producing a crude oil system at 1000 STB/day and 2000 psia of bottom-hole flowing
pressure. The pay zone and the producing well have the following characteristics:

pe 2500 psia
pwf 2000 psia
re 745 ft
rw 0.3 ft
o 2 cp
Bo 1.4 bbl/STB
h 30 ft
k 60 md

Assuming steady-state flowing conditions, calculate and plot the pressure profile around the wellbore.

1300 psia. The following additional data are available:

T 140F
g 0.65
rw 0.3 ft
k 60 md
h 40 ft
re 1000 ft

Calculate the gas flow rate by using a:

Real gas pseudo-pressure approach

Pressure-squared method.

Question 5:

An oil well is producing a stabilized flow rate of 500 STB/day under a transient flow condition. Given:
Bo 1.1 bbl/STB
o 2 cp
ct 15 106 psia1
ko 50 md
h 20 ft
20%
rw 0.3 ft
pi 3500 psia

Calculate and plot the pressure profile after 1, 5, 10, 15 and 20 hours.
