Sudan hosts over 3.4 million refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, and others of concern to the UNHCR as of November 2015. The majority are from South Sudan (51%), Eritrea (31%), and Chad (11%). Sudan also hosts an estimated 350,000 Southern Sudanese following South Sudan's independence. The largest numbers of internally displaced persons are located in Darfur, West Kordofan, and South Kordofan states.
