MANUAL No. 7
The Pymander is a book most choice for the
elegance of its language, most weighty for the
abundance of its information, full of grace and
propriety, full of wisdom and mysteries. For it
contains the profoundest mysteries of the most
ancient theology, and the arcana of all philosophy,
which things it may not be much said to contain
as to explain. CORNELIUS AGRIPPA.

THE GNOIS OF NOUS
It is no small thing- this Gnois of ten- thousandtimes-great Hermes, as Zosimus, in an ecstasy
of enthusiasms, calls him; for it has as its foundation
the Single Love of God, it endevours to base itself
upon the True Philosophy and Pure Science of Nature
and of man, and is indeed one of the fairest form of
the gnosis of the Ages, it is replete with Wisdom
(Theosophia) and Worship (Thesebeia) in harmony
the Religion of the Mind (Nous). It is in its beginning,
religion, and piety, and worship based on the right activity
and passivity of the mind, and its ends is the Gnoisi of
things-that-are the path of the Good, that leads man unto
