MATH 36 Mathematical Analysis I
Section A Lecture: WF 7:00 8:30 AM
2nd Semester 2011-2012
Recitation: TTh 7 - 8 AM
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The real number system; plane analytic geometry and conic
sections; limits and continuity; differentiation and integration of algebraic functions
COURSE GOALS:
1. To understand the deductive nature of mathematics via the axiomatic development of
the real number system;
2. To utilize properly the concept of limits in variety of situations and depth;
3. To demonstrate ease in differentiating and integrating functions; and
4. To apply differentiation and integration to solve real-world problems.
