(2010) Tony R. Kuphaldt PWM Motor Drive Circuit: +24 V Supply GND

This circuit uses a 555 timer chip and 4 LM339 comparators to generate a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal from either a 4-20 mA or 1-5 V analog input signal. The PWM signal controls an IRF530 MOSFET, which switches power to a DC load. An LM7812 regulator provides a stable +12 V supply for the integrated circuits. Test points are included to monitor the +5 V reference, PWM output, +12 V and unregulated supply rails, and sawtooth oscillator waveform.
