VBODMAS Rule & Solved Examples

VBODMAS is a mnemonic that establishes the order of operations when solving mathematical expressions involving multiple operations. According to the rule, expressions should be solved based on: V(inculum), B(rackets), O(f), D(ivision), M(ultiplication), A(ddition), S(ubtraction). The document provides examples of applying the VBODMAS rule to solve expressions. It also outlines several mathematical identities that can be used to simplify expressions, such as factoring polynomials, using the difference of two squares, and rewriting cubes and binomials.

Simplification

VBODMAS
'VBODMAS' (Vinculum - Bracket - Of - Division - Multiplication - Addition - Subtraction) rule should be applied for
solving problems involving one or more mathematical operations like multiplication, division, addition, subtraction
etc. Such problemsare solved in the order of vinculum, bracket, of, division, multiplication, addition and subtraction.
Remember 'Of' in VBODMAS means multiplication.
