Platform and Walkway Installation

2.5.1 Platform

Install the platform braces to the drive.

Figure 2.5a

Mount the platform in place on the drive, bolting it to the drive and braces,
as specified. Use temporary shoring to support the platform in place until
the walkway is installed.

Remove the drive oil fill pipe plug from the drive cover and install the pipe
nipple and coupling specified. Reinstall the pipe plug in the top of this
assembly.

After the walkway is installed, install the platform floor plates and handrail,
as covered on a following page.

2.5.2 Walkway

CHECK alignment of the mounting surfaces on the tank and the drive with
relation to the centerline of the tank. The mounting surfaces must be level
within the same relative planes.
