Gas Leakage Detection and Auto Dialing

This project aims to automatically detect LPG gas leaks in a home and call a stored phone number. It uses a gas sensor to detect leaks, an amplifier to boost the sensor signal, a comparator to analyze it, and a microcontroller programmed with a phone number to place an automated call via a mobile or landline dialing circuit. GAS LEAKAGE DETECTION AND AUTO DIALING

Objective:
The objective of this project is to sense the LPG Gas leakage in the house and
automatically call to the desired phone number stored in the microcontroller.

Scope:
This project is very useful to avoid the accident cause of gas leakage. This project
is mostly used in the house. When there is no person in the house it will sense the LPG
Gas leakage and make the call. This project is also used in the industries companies
where they are handling the LPG Gas.

Brief Methodology:
This project is designed with Microcontroller, LPG Gas sensor, Comparator,
Mobile or Land line dialing circuit and Voice processor circuit.
LPG Gas sensor is the one type transducer which senses the LPG Gas and
generates the voltage pulse. The output of the gas sensor is the small milli voltage pulse.
So there is need to amplify the voltage, for that reason the voltage signal is given
amplifier circuit. The amplifier circuit is constructed with operational amplifier it
increase the power level of the input signal. Then the amplified signal is fed to
comparator.
Here the microcontroller may be Atmel or PIC both are flash type
reprogrammable microcontroller in which we have already programmed with desired
phone number.
The microcontroller can be interfaced with mobile phone. If mobile phone is used,
it is interfaced with microcontroller through special type of data cable. In voice processor
circuit we have already stored our voice information. When any gas leakage in the house,
the gas sensor will sense the leakage and send the signal to microcontroller. Now the
microcontroller automatically makes call as per phone number stored in the

microcontroller through the GSM modem. And also the power will cut off with the help
of Relay. And also alarm will activate for alert.
