PLASTIC FELT:SUMO BRAND
Plastic felt is a prefabricated plastic- elastic membrane, formed by reinforcing polymeric
bitumen with a layer of non-woven plastic fabric at the central core. It is further finished
with a thin polyethylene film on the outer surfaces.

Physical and Chemical characteristics.
1. Heat resistance - Does not show any change in lamination applied vertically.
2. Elongation - The elongation capacity of plasticfelt is minimum 300%. It permits
the membrane to adapt to the structural movements caused by thermal jumps and
other reasons.
3. Resistance to Ageing - PLASTICFELT membrane has an extra-ordinary
resistance to ageing. Its properties vary very little more than 10 Years of service
life. The two most significant properties that show the ageing of an asphaltic
bitumen are the diminishing of penetration and pliability. Polymeric bitumen
differs from traditional asphaltic coatants in maintaining its high level of
penetration and pliability even after years.
4. Low Temperature Flexibility - The polymeric plasticfelt membrane maintains
its flexibility even upto-10C.
5. Chemical Resistance Good against dilute acid solutions.
Good against oxidising acids.
Good against sulphurous solutions.
Good against alkaline solutions.
Bad against solvents.

BITU PLASTIC (BLACK BITUMEN PUTTY)

Product Description:
A cold applied bitumen waterproofing compound in putty form, cold and ready to use
which remains plastic for a considerable time.
Application:
It is a DO IT YOURSELF product, can be applied easily by hand or with a trowel. For
repairing cracks on the roof surface the cracks should be cut to V section, clean properly
and apply Bitu Plastic over a coat of bituminous primer.
This is suitable for water proof of various nature particularly Crack roof, over lapping
joints of corrugated sheets holding down bolts, riveted joints of wagons, tiled roof, drains
etc.
Advantages:
Bitu Plastic is a DO IT YOURSELF product applied cold. The material adheres firmly
to any surface. The material does not flow when applied on vertical surface. The material
is perfectly suitable to be applied on the structures where vibration, expansion or
contraction is expected.

BITU BLACK ANTI CORROSIVE COATING

Product description:
It is a multipurpose bituminous paint used for protection of
steel structure against corrosion. This is formulated for
protecting internal surface of water tank, pipes etc. The
compound is tasteless, odourless and non-toxic.
Colour:
Glossy Black.
Smooth and uniform when dry.
Method of application:
Can be applied by brush or spray gun. The surface to be
painted should be cleaned properly and free from moisture.
The paint should be stirred perfectly before application.
The second coat should be applied after the first coat is dry.
Uses:
Steel & concrete surface, pipes, etc.
Advantages:
It does not require any thinner. It dries quickly and has a
good adhesion to the surface. It is resistant to dilute acids
and alkalis
Drying time:
Touch dries in 2 4 hours under normal conditions.

EXPANSION JOINT BOARD

Description:
Expansion Joint Board is produced from fibreboard impregnated in bitumen. The
material consists of bitumen impregnated preformed filler resilent and non-excruding
type and render durability & waterproof.
Uses:
It is used for construction and expansion joints of various concrete structures. To relieve
stress developed due to temperature variation or vibration, joints are required in the
concrete roads, bridge decks, runways, floors and roof slabs. The joints must be filled
with a material, which can absorb the vibration and allow the expansion and contraction
of the concrete slabs. Expansion Joint Board is a compressible material for filling the
expansion joints in structure.
Expansion Joint Board is available in 25 mm, 18 mm &12 mm thickness in the size of
1.22 M x 1.22 M

Description and Uses:
Bituminous TarFelt is available in both hessian as well as fibre base saturated by
immersion in the bitumen compound and dusted with powder/mica. It is self finished,
heavy duty bitumen felt specially designed for waterproofing roofs of all description and

constructions.

SYNTHETIC PRIMER (FAST DRYING)
(AS PER AWWA C-203 AND BS 4164 STANDARDS)
Description :
Synthetic prime r is a cold applied, fast drying primer consisting
of chlorinated rubber, synthetic plasticizer and solvents. It
produces a suitable and effective bond between metal surface and
subsequent tape system.
Drying Time :
5 15 minutes.
Coverage
8 12 sq. mts/ lt. on a properly cleaned surface.

20/30 lts. drums
Storage
Primer should be stored away from sunlight and naked flame.
Application
Synthetic Primer Is compatible for using with anti-corrosive
coal tar tape. Apply Primer by brush or spray to the prepared
surface, which must be clean and dry (Optional: Commercial Blast
Cleaning). It should be applied 100 mm beyond the area to be
wrapped with tape. Let the primer dry before applying anticorrosive coal tar tape. Synthetic Primer can also be used on
stainless steel. A coat of primer may also be applied between the
layers of coal tar tape.

SUN TAPE: - (ANTI-CORROSIVE COAL TAR TAPE
AS PER AWWA C203 91 AND IS 10221 1982)
Description
SUN TAPE is easy to use, anticorrosive coal tar based tape. It is
designed for usage over a wide range of climatic conditions. It
consists of a high tensile strength fabric completely saturated in
specially formulated pliable coal tar. It has polyester film on either
side to facilitate unwinding of the roll and acts as a protective outer
wrap. This hot applied tape wrap system adds life to pipes and
buries the problem of corrosion with buried pipes.
Thickness
The SUN TAPE is available in 2 mm and 4 mm thickness.
Packing
SUN TAPE is available in standard widths of 250 mm, 500 mm,
1000 mm. and standard length of 10 mts. and 20 mts.

COLD BITUMINOUS ADHESIVE:
Description:
Special type ready to use. Cold applied bituminous
adhesive
Areas of application:
Recommended for the fixing of waterproofing felt, other
insulation materials & painting for water proofing. An area
where heating is restricted and areas where hot bitumen
cannot be used Cold Bitume n Adhesive is a suitable
material. In addition, an area where fuel is not available for
heating or areas where heating may cause fire hazard Cold
Bitume n Adhesive is the ideal material to be used for
adhesion. It can also be used for fixing of Bitumen felt over
CSI, ACC and Timber roofs.
Method of application:
Cold Bituminous Adhesive should be applied over a clean
and dry surface at 2 sq. mt. per kg. By brush or rubber
squizer then allow 5 10 minutes before sticking the
insulation materials or felt.
Caution:
It is applied cold and should not be heated
