Blood Composition and Cell Types

Blood is composed of erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets suspended in plasma. Leukocytes include granulocytes such as neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils which are involved in phagocytosis and allergic reactions. Lymphocytes and monocytes are agranulocytes that carry out immune functions.
