business decisions. Platform Contributor for SOLIDWORKS
provides a structured information approach using an offthe-shelf dashboard with a summary of your business and
project data. It aggregates information from many sources
including the Internet, SOLIDWORKS, and user-community
informationinto a view that you can use for improving
decisions-making. Each Platform Contributor user can create
an unlimited number of dashboards, each one personalized
to show the information needed for a project or task. You can
easily share your dashboard with other users and establish
information standards for your business.

Platform Contributor uses Dassault Systmes 3DEXPERIENCE
platform capabilities to enable designers to store, access, and
share design data from within their native SOLIDWORKS design
interface. You now can use integrated social and collaboration
tools from within the design software without separate tools.
With Platform Contributor, users of SOLIDWORKS CAD
(Standard, Professional, or Premium), eDrawings, and
DraftSight can save, manage, and share SOLIDWORKS models
and les directly online. You can grant secure access to this data
to other people in your organization. Access can also be given
to third-party users outside your organization (like consultants,
suppliers, and vendors). Every person accessing your data
needs to have a license of Platform Contributor provided by
you. Depending on the security and access rights you specify,
users (internal and/or external) can have either very limited and
specic access or full access to any data in the project space.
Platform Contributor can provide access to a non-CAD or a
SOLIDWORKS user.
Existing users of SOLIDWORKS Conceptual Design (SWCD)
or SOLIDWORKS Industrial Design (SWID) also have Platform
Contributor as part of their solution. They can connect to their
project space, and save, manage, and share SOLIDWORKS
models from any SOLIDWORKS software package, including
SWCD, SWID, SOLIDWORKS CAD (Standard, Professional, or
Premium), eDrawings, and DraftSight. Any other user will
need a separate license of Platform Contributor to work on
the project.
