His previous film "Lonely in America" was shown in many countries and film festivals, winning awards. THE JOURNEY OF NEW YORK EMMY NOMINATED FILM MAKER TIRLOK MALIK
Mumbai 3rd October :- Tirlok Malik is a pioneer, in making films on Indian
American immigrants themes His film Lonely in America an award winning
comedy which was shown in 74 countries and 37 film festivals.. He received pride
of India gold medal form the Indian Ambassador of the USA. He was also
presented with New York citizen Award from the New York Mayor..But he feels that
he is lucky to be able to do some good work.
When he starts talking about his upcoming Punjabi film Khushiyaan directed
by him, which he says the film is high on emotional drama, it shows his passion
for cinema He is very happy that film will be released worldwide 14 th October by
Eros international.
He has been making films in America and this is the first Film he has made in
India. He says he loves Indian Cinema and wanted to make this Film which takes
place in India and America. Coming home is always very special.
Telling about Khushiyaan he says that you could be the king of Bollywood or
the Richest man of India, or a leader of a big company .if your heart is not at the
right placecan you experience Khushiyaan?Khushiyaan is a journey of a
family and dont be surprised if you find yourself in the film. He says every one
wants Khushiyaan but do we know what will make us happy in the heart, is it the
fame ,money or power ? He is raising this question. He has many talented actors
in his film to tell this story. Actors such as Kulbhushan Kharbanda , Tisca chopra
from Taare Zameen Par, Rama Vij , Gurpreet Ghuggi, Deep Dhillon,Vivek Shauq &
Jasbir Jassi the famed singer of Dil Lai Gayee Kudi Gujrat Dee. He shared his
experience working with all these actors that when you have good actorsthey
know there craft you dont have to direct themyou only have to navigate them
to translate your vision to the screen. Kulbhushan ji and Rama Vij are coming
together after 31 years

Punjabi film has to have a great Music.He has Jaidev Kumar to compose the
Music , which is also a high light of the film. There is also a Shabd sung by Jagjit
Singh.Talking about many memorable incidents of the film he talks about one of
them that there is an intimate scene between Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Rama
Vij in the film, where Rama Vij kisses Kulbhushan Kharbanda on the lips.both the
actors loved the intention behind the scenebut some of his crew members were
against him showing an older couple kissinghe said why only Kareena Kapoor
and other bollywood actresses can do thisand do you think when people get

Can one achieve Khushiyaan ,he says its a journey but one must be aware of the
tools, even though its different for everyone but at the same time he grantees
