Requirements
Safety Information
The "Safety Information" in the system manual and in the particular unit instructions must
be observed.
Protection of Electrostatically-sensitive Components
Integrated circuits and circuit boards on which MOS components are installed call for particularly careful handling because of their highly sensitive electrical structures and
because of their extremely high input resistance.
The ESD regulations that apply for electrostatically-sensitive components must be
observed.
Startup Information
If any work steps are carried out on the system, power must first be switched off.
The I.I. TV channel setting must be optimal.
The SIMOMED HM monitor(s) (ambient light sensor, standard changing time) must be
adjusted according to the adjustment instruction on service floppy
The HICOR has been fully tested and adjusted.

Installation of Display 2000
The Display 2000 has to be installed in the M2 of the MTS.
Remove the two brackets from the Display 2000.
Take off the cover of the M2.
Slide the Display 2000 on the right hand side into the M2 and fix it with the screw (Fig. 2).
Connect the power cable to the Display 2000 and M2 X8 (if there are no empty terminals,
add one to X8.L1/N/Ground each and label them; the connecting bar needs to be cut to
the correct lenght).
Connect triax cable from Reference Monitor 1 to X13 at the Display 2000 using the
angled BNC connector (page 2-6).
For biplane: connect triax cable from Reference Monitor 2 to X23 at the Display 2000
using the angled BNC connector.
Pull a triax cable from the Hicor to the M2; unplug existing triax cable at J9 A and
establish new connection J9 A ---- X11 Display 2000.
For biplane: pull a triax cable from the Hicor to the M2; unplug existing triax cable at J9 B
and establish new connection J9 B ---- X21 Display 2000 (or: pull the triax cable from the
M2 to the control room and connect it to Display 2000 X14 and the 2nd Ref Monitor; Ref 1
images can then also be seen in the control room).
Pull a triax cable from the control room M101 to the M2 and connect it to Display 2000
X12; unplug the existing Hardcopy triax cable in the M101coming from J9 Hicor and
connect the new triax cable instead.
Pull the control signal cable from the M100 to the M2 and connect it at Display 2000
Remote.

Function Test
Display a patient image on the live monitor(s).
Press >1 (and >2 if biplane) at the handswitch to display the image(s) on the reference
