U.S. Educational Attainment Trends

This document summarizes a data analysis assignment on educational attainment in the United States from 1940-2014. Key findings include: 1) There has been a steady increase in the percentage of people completing high school and college. The number completing 4+ years of college increased by over 60 million from 1940-2014. 2) Educational attainment has increased across all age groups, gender, and races over time. Females have surpassed males in educational achievement in recent decades across most demographic groups. 3) Younger age groups (25-34) generally have higher educational attainment levels than older groups, reflecting long-term trends of increasing education over the decades.
